The Flemington Borough Police Department's Public Safety Unit is focused on enhancing the safety and quality of life within the Borough through traffic safety initiatives, community engagement, education, and proactive problem-solving.

The Public Safety Unit's responsibilities include:

• Traffic safety and targeted enforcement initiatives
• Responding to community traffic and speeding concerns
• Pedestrian, bicycle, school-zone, and crosswalk safety
• Traffic crash reduction and high-visibility enforcement
• Community policing and public outreach
• Participation in community events and educational programs
• Identifying and addressing quality-of-life and public safety concerns
• Coordination and supervision of the Borough's School Crossing Guards
• Supporting special events and other public safety initiatives
• Working with residents, businesses, schools, and community organizations to identify concerns and develop appropriate solutions
